Welcome to Streams in the Wilderness, a heartfelt extension of Cats in the Cradle Blog. This is a space where faith meets creativity, where stories of God’s faithfulness, uplifting reflections, and melodies of hope inspire your soul and draw you closer to Him.

Earlier this year, I lost my job while navigating the difficult process of getting my girls into PRTF. I couldn’t afford to continue on WordPress, but I felt the Lord leading me to Substack as a new beginning. A few months ago, after my girls were admitted, I took a leap of faith and began this journey.

Here, we tune our hearts to the voice of the Shepherd, who promises His sheep will hear His voice (John 10:27). Life may feel like a whirlwind, but even in the chaos, His whispers can still be heard. Together, we’ll explore how to recognize His voice, align with His promises, and walk boldly into the abundant life He’s planned for us.

This space is a tapestry of devotionals, stories, and reflections woven with biblical truth and personal experience. Like the potter shaping clay, God is molding us through life’s challenges and triumphs. Inspired by Isaiah 35:6, I celebrate how even in the wilderness, He creates streams of renewal and joy, offering strength in the driest seasons.

Whether through Scripture, quiet moments of prayer, or the counsel of wise friends, my hope is to guide you in discovering how God speaks to you. I draw from my own journey—through struggles and victories—to share how His voice brings clarity, peace, and transformation.

Imagine stepping into a garden where you feel brand new, where surrender to the Beautiful Painter’s artistry leaves you changed, renewed, and filled with hope. That’s what I pray every post will feel like—a melody for your spirit, reminding you that you’re part of His grand design.

So light a candle, grab your favorite drink, and settle in as we lift our eyes to the One who is always speaking, always creating, and always faithful. Together, we’ll embrace His whispers, claim His promises, and find joy in His unending love.
