My Dearest Althea and Cordelia,
Have you ever watched an eagle take flight—wings stretched wide, soaring effortlessly above the storm? There is majesty in its strength, but beneath its power lies a tender truth: when the winds rage, the mother eagle shelters her young beneath her wings.
And so it is with our Heavenly Father.
"He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge." — Psalm 91:4
Storms will come. Fear will try to take hold. The wind may howl, and the night may seem endless. But the One who made the eagles, the One who commands the winds, is the same God who shelters you.
He sees when your heart races with uncertainty. He knows the nights you feel alone. But you are never abandoned.
Just like a mother hen gathers her chicks under her wings (Matthew 23:37), Jesus longs to pull you close—to shield you from the storm, to remind you that you are never alone.
Even when the world feels unsafe, you are safely covered by His arms.
Lessons from the Eagle and the Hen
Strength and Shelter 🦅
Eagles don’t just fly above the storm—they cover their young in it. God is both our refuge and our strength—able to carry us through the storm and shield us within it.No Need to Run 🐣
Hens instinctively draw their chicks close at the first sign of danger. But too often, we try to run instead of resting under God’s wings. The world may tell you to fight your way through, but God says, "Come to Me, and I will cover you."We Are Not Alone 🌿
"When my father and my mother forsake me, Then the Lord will take care of me." — Psalm 27:10
Even if people fail us, God never will. His arms never grow weary. His love never runs out. The same God who commands angels at His word is the same God who holds you close.

Practical Step for Today
Take five minutes today to sit in God’s presence. Close your eyes and picture His arms covering you, just as an eagle covers her young. Let Psalm 91 settle deep in your heart.
You don’t have to fight the storm alone—you are covered.
Let’s Pray
Loving Father,
Thank You for being my shelter in every storm. When fear rises, remind me that I am held by You. Teach me to trust instead of run, to rest in the shadow of Your wings. No storm is stronger than Your love.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Decree & Declare
I decree and declare that I am sheltered beneath the wings of the Almighty. No storm can shake me, no fear can overtake me, because I am safe in His arms.
"If terror flies by day and night, I won’t have to run and hide… Know I’m safely covered by His arms, His arms."
