Morning Devotional: Climbing With God
Trusting His Presence Through Every Step
In the quiet of morning, before the rush begins, there’s a chance to realign your heart with God’s. Like the Benjah’s new song “Every Mountain” says:
"In the morning when I wake up, I give thanks to my Savior… new day, new favor."
Each sunrise is a gift—a reminder of God’s fresh mercies (Lamentations 3:22-23). Take a moment to thank Him, to breathe deeply, and to set your mind on His faithfulness.
Pause and Savor the Journey
Life is full of hills and valleys, but what if the climb matters more than the peak? What if God is shaping you in the struggle, preparing you for the promise? The lyrics ask:
"What if you learned that the journey is better than the top, would you keep climbing?"
The Word echoes this truth: “The LORD directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives.” (Psalm 37:23, NLT). Every step—whether steep or smooth—is part of His divine plan.
Be Present in the Season You’re In
"What if you knew that a season was coming to an end, would you be more present?"
Ecclesiastes 3:1 reminds us, “For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven.” Seasons change, but His presence remains constant. Be present, even in the hard moments, knowing He’s working all things for your good (Romans 8:28).
Trust Him With the Load
Sometimes blessings come with a cost, and dreams don’t satisfy the way we thought they would. The song reminds us:
"What if you got all your dreams, but it wasn’t enough, would you be more grateful?"
Gratitude shifts your perspective. As Philippians 4:6-7 urges, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”
Let Him take the load. Surrender your worries to the One who carries your burdens and leads you in peace.
Climbing With Confidence
"We will climb every hill, every mountaintop, ‘cause we’re done living down in the valley."
Even in the valleys, God is with you. Psalm 23:4 assures us: “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for You are with me.”
Now, it’s time to rise. Take His hand and climb with courage, knowing He’s already gone before you.

Prayer
